Today the Senate Committee on Elections, Ethics and Rural Issues is holding a public hearing that will include Senate Bill 246. Current Wisconsin law requires all voters to speak their name and address to receive a ballot. Senate Bill 246 would require accommodation for voters who are unable to speak their name and address because of disability. This is the Senate version of Assembly Bill 168. AB 168 is expected to be voted on by the full Assembly next week. You can contact your State Senator and Assembly Representative to ask them to support SB 246/ AB 168 to ensure that people who cannot state their name and address do not experience barriers to voting, To find out who your legislators are, enter your address in the right corner on this page.
