A Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The purpose of the event is to highlight the many ways in which the Americans with Disabilities Act has impacted voting rights. Panelists will discuss the progress that has been made, the work that has yet to be done, and why it’s important to vote in the upcoming elections. The event will be captioned and an ASL interpreter will be available.
Panelists for the event include:
- Danita Jackson, Intake Specialist with Disability Rights Wisconsin
- Katy Schmidt, Past-President of the Wisconsin Association of the Deaf
- Chris Wood, Board Member of the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities
The event will be moderated by Barbara Beckert, the Director of the Milwaukee Office of Disability Rights Wisconsin, and Shauntay Nelson, the Wisconsin State Director with All Voting is Local.
