Get ready to vote on February 18
|
- Make sure your voter registration information is current and correct. Voters can confirm their address or update their registration at myvote.wi.gov.
- Polling places may have changed. Voters can find your polling place here.
- Voters can view their ballot in advance on the My Vote website
- Learn about the candidates. One source for unbiased candidate information is VOTE411.org.
- You must have an acceptable Photo ID to vote. Find out about the ID you can use at bringit.wi.gov/

Accommodations at the Polling Place
|
You have the right to request the following accommodations at your polling place:
|
- Curbside voting is available if a voter cannot enter the polling place due to a disability on Election Day. Two poll workers will bring a ballot to the individual needing assistance, and conduct voting at their vehicle, or at the polling place entrance. Proof of residence must be provided if a voter is not registered. Proof of identification must be provided.
- If you need curbside voting, we suggest you call your Municipal Clerk in advance of the election regarding your request. Contact information for municipal clerks is online at elections.wi.gov/clerks/directory
- The poll worker may ask you to speak your name and address. If a voter is unable to state their name and address, the law allows voters to have poll workers or assistors of their choosing state their name and address on their behalf prior to receiving a ballot. Poll workers or assistors may read the name and address directly from the poll book or the photo ID provided by the voter. Voters can also provide their information in writing to poll workers or assistors.
- If a voter inside the polling location cannot sign the poll list due to a physical disability, they should inform a poll worker. The poll worker will write “Exempt by order of inspectors” in the signature space on the poll list.
- An accessible voting machine will be available in every polling place. This machine will allow voters to independently mark the ballot. These machines will be set up to allow voters who use a wheelchair to reach the controls, and have an audio ballot-marking option for voters with visual impairment.
- If a voter needs help marking the ballot, he or she may have a person assist them. That person does not need to be qualified to vote. The voter may not receive assistance from an employer or a representative of that voter’s labor organization.
- Other reasonable accommodations can be requested. Speak to the chief inspector at the polling place or the municipal clerk. Contact information for municipal clerks is online at elections.wi.gov/clerks/directory
