US DOJ September 11th Voting Listening Session to Share Barriers Faced by Individuals with Disabilities
Plan to attend a September 11th Voting Listening Session to share barriers experienced by voters with disabilities. The session is hosted by the US Department of Justice’s Disability Rights Section, Civil Rights Division and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western and Eastern Districts of Wisconsin. They want to hear from you about any voting barriers faced by individuals with disabilities, including in registering to vote, obtaining voting or election information, voting absentee, voting in-person, polling place accessibility, or receiving assistance in voting!
Join us in person in Milwaukee or on Zoom on September 11, at 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Central Time). The in-person session is at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin at 517 E. Wisconsin Ave, Room 630, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There will be time in the session for audience questions and to share your experiences.
Please email Charlotte.Lanvers@usdoj.gov by Friday, September 8th, 2023 if you would like time to speak and/or to RSVP if you plan to attend in-person.

ASL interpretation and closed captioning will be provided. If you need a reasonable accommodation to attend, virtual or in-person, please contact Diane Turner at crt.reasonableaccommodations@usdoj.gov by Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
