REV UP for National Disability Voter Registration Week

National Disability Voter Registration Week is July 13-17th. The Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition invites you to join us to grow the power of the disability vote.

Make sure you’re registered to vote and spread the word to others. It can be a virtual event, phone banking to call your members or friends, social media messages or whatever works for you! The Disability Vote Coalition website has resources and ideas to get your started.

The Disability Vote Coalition is hosting the following trainings and events to REV UP the disability vote. JOIN US!

July 7 at 12:00 p.m. - Voting in the Time of Pandemic: A Briefing for MCOs, ICAs, SSI Medicaid HMOs, and Stakeholders
Many voters with disabilities have experienced barriers to exercising their constitutional right to cast a ballot. The health risks related to COVID-19 have created additional obstacles to voting. This session is to inform leaders at Managed Care Organizations, Health Maintenance Organizations, IRIS Consultant Organizations and others who serve Wisconsinites with disabilities and older adults about these barriers, and to share strategies and resources their organizations can use to help their members to safely vote.

REGISTER TODAY!

July 13th at 11 a.m. - Voting in the Time of Pandemic Part 2: A Training for Front-Line Staff.
This event will instruct staff who work with people with disabilities and older adults (internal advocates, member rights specialists, care managers, IRIS consultants, etc.) on how to support their members with voter registration, absentee voting, and voter rights.

REGISTER NOW!
